Voncore Chosen as the Digital Media Partner of the Jejomar Binay Vice Presidential Campaign

VONCORE was selected as the digital media partner of the Jejomar Binay Vice Presidential Campaign in the 2010 Philippine Elections. Before winning the Philippine Vice-Presidential race, Jejomar Binay was the Mayor of Makati City, the leading business center and one of the most progressive municipalities in the Philippines. His accomplishments in his 20 years as mayor include Project FEED (Food for Excellent Education and Development), Makati Medical Health Plus Program (Yellow Card), medical assistance for the elderly, Green Procurement Policy, and various programs to generate employment, among others.

As the digital media partner of the Binay camp, VONCORE served as Mayor Binay’s online representative during the Harapan Vice-Presidential Debate hosted by ABS-CBN. This event is a first in the history of the Philippine elections since in the past, only Presidential debates were hosted by the television network giant.

ABS-CBN’s Harapan used a real time chat portal that allows millions of viewers to send in questions and interact with online blogger panelists representing each of the Vice Presidential candidates in the debate. VONCORE’s very own senior content editor with the pseudonym of Poli Pen, was assigned as Binay’s official blogger panelist tasked to answer questions from the live stream of chat messages directed at Mayor Jejomar Binay. With VONCORE’s aid, the Binay campaign was able to address the lingering untackled issues from the debate.
